The official logo for the 2024 Boston Asian American Film Festival! ^_^ I designed and animated this along with my lovely wife, Corey. I took a bit of inspiration from anime and South East Asian art. This logo has items from different films in the line up- so it was fun getting to tell filmmakers what items of their film made it onto the logo. I think it went over really well as folks stopped me to tell me how much they liked it. Back in 2021, I was hired by the State Coordinators of the Maine Civil Rights Team Project! They saw my Diversity Day video back in 2015, and they loved it. So when their anniversary came up, they chose me to make a recruitment video for them! They're great folks that do a lot of hard work day in and day out, and were a great help to me when I was in High school. It felt great to return the favor. I cowrote, co-animated, directed, and voice acted this whole video, which doesn't seem like much for a 6 minute video, but it was..a lot of work. The Rising Wave Logo Animation for the 2019 Boston Asian American Film Festival. The theme of this year's festival was 'Rising Together' based off of BAAFF's parent organization, AARW's theme (Asian American Resource Workshop) This logo animation took many hours to do, and could NOT have been done without the amazing help of Corey Valois, who is undeniably a work machine. The incredible wave icon was designed by the super talented illustrator Anna Zeng, who based her design off of Hokusai's The Great Wave Off Kanagawa. This was then turned into a logo by the also talented Connie Chan, who is the assistant director of the festival. Without the help of these amazing ladies, this wouldn't be possible.
